How could digital identities combat identity fraud?

Fraud has reached epidemic levels in the UK, and we need to do something about it. Cifas research has found three in every five cases of fraudulent conduct filed to the National Fraud Database relate to identity fraud, the vast majority involve criminals impersonating innocent victims in order to set up new accounts and facilities. This not only impacts the organisation being targeted, but also the victim left in fear as to what else may be done in their name.

Join Sandra Peaston, Director of Research and Development at Cifas, as she discusses the trends and enablers of identity fraud, explores the potential impact of digital identities, and outlines the standards for digital identity schemes recommended in the OIX fraud controls guide co-authored by Cifas.
