I’m essentially a career Civil Servant, spending most of my 31 years in HMRC (and its predecessors) covering grades from AA – Senior Civil Servant and roles from Fraud investigator, benefit processor, helpline operator to multiple Project and Leadership roles. I lead the Identity and Trust team in DWP Digital – A role, I feel honoured to hold, as it is at the heart of supporting some of the most vulnerable demographics in the UK.
I lead a team of around 80 people to design and advise on Identity Policy to support DWP and run an Agile Delivery function to design and deliver Digital solutions for DWP. Our aspiration is to have proportionate, omni-channel Identity solutions that simplify the customer and colleague experience. I’ve been doing the job for 2 years, essentially the duration of the Pandemic and it has been quite a ride!
